I have question considering performance in Stypeland with 4k in and output. Im running our test on 4k50fps output and a 4K input for camera and 3xHD inputs for aux content, and every now an then i get a framedrop. When the framedrop happens the ouput hitches.
The log shows that the engine could'nt run fast enough to keep up with the Customtimestep sync. 1 frames dropped.
The test scene is very basic, so im thinking the editor overhead could be creating the framedrops every now and then. Is it possible with stypeland to launch the project headless as in -game mode or as a shipping package to improve the performance in the end? Or other practices on how to use Stypeland as performand as possible?
Im running our test on a RTX A6000, AJA Corvid 88 + AJA Corvid 44 with genlock. If you need more info let me know.
how are your Engine Scalability Settings set up?
Scalability is set to Epic by default
Can you try lowering some of those settings and see if you get a performance boost?
Setting it to High or Medium seems to work. The framedrops are not appearing anymore. Thank you.
