Understanding StypeKit console ports and connections

Applies to: StypeKit
Goal:
Connect all hardware to the correct ports on the StypeKit console.
When you need this:
No tracking data
Motors not responding
Sync or joystick issues
Connecting StypeKit for the first time
Key ports:
SENSORS: Pan and tilt encoders
HEAD CABLE: Connects console to headbox
JOYSTICK: Control handles
VIRTUAL OUTPUT: Ethernet or serial tracking output
USB: Firmware updates and data transfer
SYNC: Blackburst or tri-level genlock
LTC: Timecode input
24V POWER: Console power input
Common issues / fixes:
Wrong head cable type → must be 24-pin, not 37-pin
No motor movement → check headbox connection, also check that joystick is connected
No sync → verify genlock source
Escalate to support if:
Correct cabling still results in blinking red LEDs
