Overview
Shadow Catcher allows virtual objects to cast shadows onto the real studio floor.
This visually anchors graphics into the real environment.
The feature works best with directional lights.
How it works
The system detects a special plane or material and blends shadow pixels into the camera image.
Only the shadow is rendered — the plane itself stays invisible.
Quality levels
Shadow quality can be adjusted:
0 – minimal performance impact
1 – balanced
2 – highest quality, highest GPU cost
Typical use cases
Virtual screens on floor
Standing presenters
Virtual furniture
Sports graphics
Notes
Shadow Catcher should be placed above Reflection and Set Extension planes when combined.
