How to calibrate a map (Align Floor, Set Scale, Zero Point, Zero Pan)
Section: Map calibration
Applies to: RedSpy
Goal:
Align the virtual space accurately to the physical studio.
When you need this:
After creating a new map
Tracking position does not match reality
Floor height or orientation is incorrect
Steps:
Perform Align Floor captures across the tracked area.
Run Set Scale using two distant points in the space.
Define Zero Point at the chosen origin.
Set Zero Pan to establish forward direction.
Expected result:
Floor is level
Position and orientation are consistent across the space
Common issues / fixes:
Incorrect height → redo Align Floor
Scale mismatch → increase distance between scale points
Escalate to support if:
Calibration repeatedly produces inconsistent results
